Want to volunteer?
Our volunteers are the backbone - or in sewing terms, the wonder clips - of our program. They help teach and assist in our sewing classes. Volunteers may also assist in the childcare program at Project 658, which is available to our students during sewing class.
Whether you are a veteran seamstress or a beginning sewist, we have a place for you. The biggest requirement for our volunteers is the willingness to reach across cultural and language barriers with love and encouragement to help our students learn. If you are new to sewing, you can learn along the way!
Classes meet Monday through Thursday from 10-12. Contact us to schedule a visit and observe a class. We're pretty sure you'll be ready to join in and help!
